About MWM-Solutions

A wide range of
mobility models.

Our roots lie in chauffeur and shuttle services for major events. In this area, we have a long-standing and unique wealth of experience throughout Germany. We are familiar with all the tasks and steps that come with the territory, from scheduling to guest and fleet management, from personnel planning to statistical analysis.

Standstill is not our thing. That is why we have constantly expanded our range of products and services: we plan and operate on-demand transports in rural and suburban areas, offer logistics solutions in the field of electromobility, organize shuttle services or effective product presentations in automotive marketing, such as exciting test drives. Our quality standards are as high as the safety requirements we apply. We advise, plan and realize – this is our triad for all mobile services we can offer you. Nationally and internationally.

Another field of expertise is the tension that often lies between humans and digital technology. We work with our own online-based software in the event-shuttle or introduce strong software solutions for on-demand transport operations. For us, people always come first, whether as satisfied employees or passengers.

On-Demand Ride Pooling

The future of public transport.

In our view, on-demand transport is an important component of sustainable and attractive public transport in rural and suburban regions; an intelligent way to transport people flexibly and comfortably to a predefined destination.

Unlike bus and train rides, on-demand ride pooling operates upon request. No fixed timetable, no fixed route, but fixed prices. Passengers with similar destinations share the journey. Everything is based on software – a smart algorithm collects requests and optimizes the routes in real time.

As experts in mobility management, we know exactly how to get this service on the road. We advise on the entire concept, support the right use of the software, take care of a sufficiently large pool of drivers, handle dispatching and customer support, and manage or procure the fleet – preferably using electric vehicles.

Increasing efficiency, protecting the environment, boosting public satisfaction – professionally executed on-demand ride pooling is a win-win situation for everyone!

Sustainability

The way we see mobility.

When we assume shuttle services – sometimes tens of thousands of people have to be moved from A to B (and sometimes C) every day – we take absolutely everything into account ahead of time: How many vehicles will have to be used, when, where and for what duration? Which are the fastest routes, are there closures or construction sites? Is there enough space for parking and bus turnarounds? The list could be expanded endlessly. The involvement of sponsors – including specific protocol routes – and security checks for particularly high-profile passengers are other routine procedures. We truly offer full-service driving services!

Like any responsible company, we are always questioning how sustainable the things are that we do. In our case, the issue of vehicle propulsion is of huge importance. In the immediate future, electromobility is less an alternative than a must. And we use it wherever possible.

Over time and projects, we have gathered a handsome body of know-how in this area. How long are the routes, is it warm or cold during the event, are there charging stations available, etc. Due to the limited range of electric cars, a perfect charging infrastructure is particularly important, i.e. setting up fast-charging stations that are centrally located while offering adequate charging capacity.

Software

Our goal is to actively form integrated mobility for tomorrow. We count on innovative software for its implementation.

On the one hand, we work with leading providers, e.g. of on-demand ride pooling, and are happy to advise you on how these applications are best used.

On the other hand, we have developed our own software solutions together with our partner Netbrothers, perfecting the processes in fleet management and event transportation services. Our programs are modular and in continuous use – not only at MWM.

Spare

MWM successfully collaborates with Spare Labs. Spare is a turnkey platform that allows to plan, operate and analyze an intelligent on-demand transportation system in a few steps. Special features of Spare are an open and market-tested API, public transport centricity, the ability to jointly control multiple operations and fleets with different configurations (e.g. stops and door-to-door service) or the extensive planning and analysis tools. The Spare software is used in more than 100 projects worldwide.

NetFleet

All rides for an event of any size can be controlled with the cloud-based scheduling tool NetFleet. Individually defined access points for customers, drivers, dispatchers and guest management enable all participants to have a targeted overview of the processes that are relevant to them. Drivers are guided by an app, passengers are kept up-to-date while on the move and vehicles are used efficiently.

We control the fleet with our online-based tool CarControl. The software supports quick vehicle changes –logged digitally using a tablet – and gives you a constant overview of where your vehicle is right now, where it was before, what it needs and when it needs it.

Audi e-tron Priority Boarding

Project:
Audi e-tron Priority Boarding

Task:
The Audi e-tron market launch has been accompanied by a so far unique Germany-wide test drive program, the Priority Boarding. The biggest challenge was to distribute the 130 test drive vehicles available to 181 Audi dealers all over Germany on a weekly basis and – at the same time – to make sure that a suitable charging station infrastructure will be available always and at all times.

Solution:
In close cooperation with our client Audi, we were able to record the charging capacities of the dealers and to store them in our logistics software. Our crews then planned 28 different tours per 4 Audi e-tron’s, made sure that the cars could be charged at the dealer locations, took care of the necessary cleaning and servicing and, incidentally, became absolute experts for charging infrastructures in general and for the Audi e-tron in particular.

International Filmfestival Berlin – The Berlinale

Project:
International Filmfestival Berlin – The Berlinale

Task:
Acting as a liaison between the film festival and its mobility partners, it’s our task to guarantee for all guests and co-workers, from the assistant with the bouquet of flowers to the Hollywood superstars, to always arrive at the Berlinale venues on time. The already complex logistics have become even more challenging with the introduction of electromobility, since now the vehicles always need to have enough electricity under the bonnet.

Solution:
300 vehicles in total and 1.400 car journeys every day, and this for a duration for more than ten days. It’s only possible to efficiently operate fleet and drivers by deploying an experienced planning team and using our software NetFleet.

The major challenge certainly is to ensure the charging infrastructure. In 2019, we therefore installed more than 120 charging spots in an old aircraft hangar and, additionally, 6 superchargers with up to 180kW. In 2020, we were able to offer a decentralized solution of charging station hubs all around the Potsdamer Platz, so every driver could charge his car whenever needed. By using superchargers, the charging procedure doesn’t take more time than the ride to the next service station.

MWM is a framework contract partner of the International Film Festival and has been on assignment for the Berlinale since 2016.

Hopper

Project:
Hopper

Task:
While in the metropolises and urban areas New Mobility start-ups come and go, solutions for smart, shared mobility offers in rural areas are a lot harder to find. But you’ll find a corresponding need here, too, however the mobility requirements are different from those of a compact city.

Solution:
In cooperation with the Kreisverkehrsgesellschaft Offenbach, we operate the on demand service Hopper in the Land Hessen.

7 days a week, 20 hours per day, 365 days per year! On Demand Ride Pooling for the citizens of the municipalities Hainburg, Seligenstadt and Mainhausen, the first project of its kind with a daily operation, as a supplement to the basic service provided by the administrative district Offenbach. Flexible, reliable and available almost around-the-clock via an especially developed app. An offer that is being excellently received, providing real value added for the districts involved.

European Athletics Championship 2018

Project:
European Athletics Championship 2018

Task:
Berlin is Sport City. And when more than 4000 guests had to be transported from hotel to the sports venues and back again with up to 50 busses and 100 other vehicles on the occasion of the Athletics Championship, the event organizer’s main focus was on creating popularity.

Solution:
World class sport you can touch and feel! Due to the central location of the hotel, lots of opportunities were created to personally meet with the athletes and grab autographs. A special highlight of the event was the European Mile at Breitscheidplatz, right in the heart of the City West, with logistics perfectly included in the overall transport strategy in a tight cooperation with the authorities.

Audi e-tron Trailblazer at the Salesforce Basecamps

Project:
Audi e-tron Trailblazer at the Salesforce Basecamps

Task:
Participants at the Salesforce Basecamps were given the opportunity to exclusively test-drive the new Audi e-tron. Besides handling the fleet, this setting of course also required an implementation of a simple and straightforward booking logic.

Solution:
Despite the high demand for test drives, an overall number of 800 in 5 German cities and more than 7.000 driven test kilometers, we were able to almost entirely avoid waiting times.

Bookings were carried out purely digital, allowing for individual routes for each guest and driver. Thus, we were also able to process data protection management and the on-going support of the leads before and after the actual test drive through a platform.

Besides the digital service, we provided a trained MWM car expert team, who explained technical innovations of the vehicle, like the virtual rear-view mirror, brake recuperation and, of course, the special features of the electric motor.

FORMULA E – BERLIN E-PRIX

Project:
FORMULA E – BERLIN E-PRIX

Task:
FORMULA E, the motorsport event of electric mobility, had to finish the 2019/2020 season in an unusual mode in Berlin due to Covid: 9 days, 6 races, 1 winner. Only in 2022 the event operation had recovered from the pandemic and FORMULA E took place again with the full number of spectators.

Solution:
In 2020, under hygiene regulations, 300 people were still transported to various zone entrances of the event site while maintaining the critical 2m safety distance. In terms of implementation, this meant quadrupling the number of buses and vans required. On-site control was confidently provided by our coordinators, and in addition we deployed a number of hosts to provide regular disinfection of the buses between trips.

In 2021 and 2022 we supported the FORMULA E with an exclusive driving service, which transported the VIP guests comfortably to the race track and supported the team during their sensational promotions in the Berlin city.

MWM takes care of the provision and authorization of shuttle vehicles, provides qualified chauffeurs and manages all operations. With our excellent network of independent chauffeurs with their own vehicles, MWM also organizes any other form of high quality shuttle services.

DALLI - DEIN BRANDENBUS

Project:
DALLI – DEIN BRANDENBUS

Task:
Improving mobility in rural areas is a major issue in times of climate change, demographic change and dependence on private vehicles.

Solution:
On behalf of the Oder-Spree district, MWM is responsible for setting up and operating on-demand transport in the Storkow (Mark) area, close to Berlin. MWM is not only the operator, but also responsible for the development of the brand, the marketing, the ODV software, the procurement of the vehicles, the development of the charging infrastructure and the evaluation of this novel project. For the first time, the On-Demand Transport Pooling (ODTP) concept developed by MWM will be applied; in addition to passenger transport, goods and services will also be transported in order to improve cost efficiency and the quality of supply in sparsely populated areas. A completely new approach in Brandenburg.

WeShare

Project:
Infleeting for UMI Urban Mobility International GmbH (WeShare)

Task:
WeShare is 100% electric car sharing in Berlin and Hamburg. In the course of the refloating of e-Golf to ID.3 and ID.4, MWM 2022 was entrusted with the infleeting of the vehicles in the Berlin operating area.

Solution:
Our logistics team handled communication with the truckage company, vehicle acceptance and vehicle check, and performed a 10-step quality gate process. With the help of the WeShare software, the vehicles were activated and distributed directly in the operating area and were thus ready to go after a very short time.
